Day 19 Castelnovo di Sotto to Cremona 50 miles.
Following the river Po.
I got up and made as much noise as I could in the hope that I would wake up the noisy Italians. The weather looked great again and Paul B had managed to find a bike route along the river Po as an alternative to our route. This proved to be a wonderful find we were treated to miles and miles of bike track that varied from smooth tarmac to rough terrain.

We agreed to have coffee at Colorno, which is a very pretty village in the middle of nowhere and had a market today.

The coffee shop owner was a real delight, and he insisted that we had plates and plates of his biscuits .
We proceeded along the path everyone revelling in the traffic free conditions.

Lunch was taken across the river , another great picnic, thanks to Barbara Gill John and Vaughn .
These guys are proving a formidable team.

The run into Cremona after lunch was uneventful, we joined the main road for the last 5 miles and this was a stark reminder just how great it was to be on roads without traffic.
We seemed to be joined by a mystery rider today ,

Although Mike Harpham did get the money shot ...... but it helps if you have the perfect subject.
